Standard or Eastern King and California King Size

There are two common King sizes, with two configurations common for each. The Standard King is known as the Eastern King, and is normally 76" wide and 80" long, which equates to about 193 cm by 203 cm. As with all bed measurements, manufacturers may create their beds up to an inch larger or smaller than the industry standard. The California King is a bit narrower and longer then the Eastern King, at 72" wide and 84" long, or 183 cm by 213 cm. Either size is available as a split variation, used on adjustable beds.

King size beds are not usually found in pleasure crafts, but are frequently used in finer hotels worldwide. If you have a large room, an Eastern King or California King affords you the most sleeping space possible so you can sleep like, well, a King!
